DISNEY DIVERSITY

On Tuesday October 9th at New World Stages NYC, The Disney | ABC Television Group Casting Departmentpresented their 11th annual talent showcase. In an effort to discover and nurture racially and ethnically diverse talent, 500 actors were selcted to audition from more than 7,500 submissions. Twelve finalists were chosen by network casting executives to perform one-act vignettes for an audience of industry decision makers. Our favorites included "Once We Go Black" written and performed by Andrew Law with Brandhyze Stanley; "Prelude To Thirty-Five" written by Seth Kramer and performed by Ami Sheth and Shivantha Wijesinha. The show as closed with the climactic "Peer Review" written by Ethan Coen and performed by Johnny Ramey, Adam Alexander Hamilton and an outstanding Michaela Waters.

An overall enjoyable evening of theatre and networking, that we hope to be able to attend every year.
