PROJECT FREEDOM

Monolodge stands with resident actor/ miniLODGE instructor Princess BonHomme and her Project Freedom initiative that will bring theatre education to youth in Haiti.

This artwork (courtesy of the MONOLODGE office of creative license) references an early performance of "Toussaint"- Lady In Brown. The silhouette is Ms. Kenya Wilson who shared that beautiful work from "For Colored Girls..." on our stage in June of 2012.

Join us Tuesday April 18th as we celebrate this wonderful project. Free Admission

Project Freedom Mission

In July, Project Freedom will be traveling to St. Marc, Haiti for a week. The program will be a week long theater camp in partnership with caregivers in the town to provide food and support for the children in the program. Project Freedom will use the theatre arts to provide a creative outlet for young people in Haiti to help free them of the barrier that is their circumstances. By taking the lid off of what's possible for their lives, the youth can feel empowered to make strides toward the well being of the community.
